She was born in Boston June 12, 1980 and had lived in Chestnut Hill, MA. She was the daughter of Neil L. and Kathleen A. Thompson of Chestnut Hill, and the brother of Jeffrey L. Thompson of New York, NY.
Caroline was a graduate of Park School, St. Paul’s School, and Yale University, where she was the varsity field hockey captain.
After college, she became a U.S.Naval intelligence officer and later worked at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston because she loved animals, including her dog, Ada, and cat, Romeow.
She had moved to California recently to pursue her career in creative writing and was enrolled at UCLA and applying to graduate school at the University of California, Irvine.
Caroline is remembered by her many friends as being a beautiful and selfless woman who impacted so many people with her unique sense of humor, her indomitable spirit, and her blazing intellect.
She had recently found her passion in poetry and writing. Her untimely death deprives us of what would undoubtedly have been a great body of work. She will be missed dearly by all and is survived by her parents and brother.
The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to The Angell Animal Medical Center, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 (617) 522-7782.
